PERSONAL ISOLATION UNIT

The Personal Isolation Unit (PIU) is a must-have for the transportation of diseased or contagious persons, giving First Responders the ability to contain all bodily fluids and contagions within the units. This protects emergency personnel and transport vehicles while providing a safe, clean environment for the patient. In addition, the PIU saves thousands of dollars in decontamination processes for transport vehicles.

Key Features:

  • Runs off 110-12 volt and/or a separate BATTERY PACK, enabling transfer from emergency vehicles to isolation rooms or units without compromising emergency personnel. It also keeps the PIU inflated and self-contained.

  • Four REINFORCED HANDLES enable patients to be transported in the absence of a gurney and while being transferred from a gurney to another surface. These handles can also be used as a tie-down to the gurney to prevent excess movement while in transport.

  • INTERNAL ISOLATION GLOVES allow necessary treatment to the patient while maintaining a zero-transmission of contagions and contact with bodily fluids.

  • The PIU is a WELDED AND SEALED UNIT with clear TPU material that is crack-tested to minus 40 degrees for use in any environment.

  • PATENTED AIRFLOW SYSTEM provides the patient with filtered air circulation within the unit.
